The assignment was to use essay format.- Topic sentences were often missing.- Paragraph structure was incomplete. There needs to be a topic sentence, a clear single thought/argument for each sentence and a concluding sentence tying back to the topic sentence.- Use full sentences rather than dot points.Conclusion- A conclusion must draw your essay to a close.ReferencingReferencing should follow the guidelines provided in the Student Manual, a copy of which can be found on the course Blackboard site.. Referencing has improved but there are still some errors. Common errors included:- In text referencing: o Direct quotes, that is, taking an author’s words exactly and using them in an assignment requires quotation marks (“ “) around the words used and the source.
